A nice comfortable 3 star Hotel, centrally located in Makati.
Check in staff were excellent.
The Bay leaf Restaurant was very below par. Food was bland, ordinary and cold. The lunch we had took over 1 hr to come to our table.
Lets hope they improve both the food and service.
Enjoy leisurely stays at City Garden Makati with spacious rooms and free access to first-rate facilities, including an outdoor pool fitness centre and WiFi.

With a rich mix of influences from Indians, Chinese, Spanish and Americans, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic centre. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonisation, Manila became an important city, known as the ‘Pearl of Orient’.
Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.
Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila, “The City of Our Affections” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.
Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.
For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City, where a second cluster of hotels are located.

It seems to be a way of life, but Manila is congested with pollution & traffic. Will there be a solution to these problems when the earth is on the verge of destruction? Global warming is real,& it’s on us to take this matter seriously. My 2 weeks stay in the Philippines was horrible due to the unprecedented hot temperature that I have to think twice whether it’s worth visiting the place soon. Constructions of buildings are everywhere that there is an imbalance on natural beauty as a whole. There is purely greed for sure.

Manila, is the capital and second-most-populous city of the Philippines. Located on the eastern shore of Manila Bay on the island of Luzon, it is classified as a highly urbanized city. As of 2019, it is the world's most densely populated city proper. It was the first chartered city in the country, and was designated as such by the Philippine Commission Act No. 183 on July 31, 1901. It became autonomous with the passage of Republic Act No. 409, "The Revised Charter of the City of Manila", on June 18, 1949. Manila is considered to be part of the world's original set of global cities because its commercial networks were the first to extend across the Pacific Ocean and connect Asia with the Spanish Americas through the galleon trade; when this was accomplished, it was the first time an uninterrupted chain of trade routes circling the planet had been established.

Manila has good food.
Manila has good food. Try halo-halo to help you with the hot weather here
For transport I would recommend booking through ride hailing apps for safer and smoother transactions. Avoid those white regular taxis. You can book Grab for convenient car ride around the Metro, motorcycle option (Move It, Angkas, Joyride) is also common in Manila bec of the traffic. Food delivery is also available in the Grab app with lots of options.
For clothing, the usual H&M, Zara, Nike, etc. is everywhere, for local brands you can try taking home from Bench or Penshoppe which is cheaper and good quality
Airport, make sure to be there earlier since immigration and check in counters can be very long and slow. Can be very traffic going there as well
Avoid walking around sketchy places and neighborhoods especially at night.
BGC, Ortigas and Makati are pretty safe places
Card payment available almost everywhere, except of course on street food and jeepneys/buses/train
Tipping, not mandatory unlike other countries but staff/crew would be glad to accept anything

Metropolitan Manila is a very interesting Asian City.
Metropolitan Manila is a very interesting Asian City. The US Dollar to Philippine Peso exchange rate was favorable to US travelers, so meals, taxis/Grab ride-shares and hotel prices were made more affordable. Tons and tons of restaurants and entertainment options available just about everywhere you go. Spas and massages are very reasonably priced, and so are beauty and nail salons. There are at least 4 major casinos: Okada, City of Dreams, Solaire and Newport (?). Dampas are a must for first time travelers-this is a place where you buy your seafood from a fresh market and take your purchase to a nearby restaurant to have them cooked to your specifications (for a separate fee, of course). Shopping malls are numerous and a great draw for crowds, especially on weekends. Post-COVID major name entertainment is coming back, but still a little on the slow side at this point.

Manila is good for those that wanted to see the city and who loves to shop as it is where you will find the biggest shopping mall in Asia (Mall of Asia). There are also places where you can see and experience the history and culture of the Philippines (Visiting Intramuros and Luneta for example).
It is located across from the terminal 4. It is close to many restaurants. The staff was very helpful in getting me there with the free shuttle. They were also helpful in getting me to the airport on time. I wanted to leave two hours before flight time and the very smart lady at the front desk said three hours for the international flight. She was correct because it took longer than I expected to get through the lines for my flight. I am not a big fan of Manila but this hotel has made me change my mind about layovers there.
Newly built ultra modern hotel, with exceptional facilities. The best Gym I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Amazing rooftop terrace bar and restaurant with superb views across Manila. The attention to detail 10/10
Hotel staff, Jerome, Bernadette, Victor and Byron what can I say you make ASN Residence Hotel, with exceptional customer service. A hotel is just a Hotel without good managers. I would say the best hotel I have ever stayed in across the world. I will definitely be back. Thanks so much Johnny
Sofitel has been our GO TO Hotel whenever we are here in Manila. Breakfast overall, Awesome, lots of very good , yummy Choices. From healthy foods down to a more challenging ones , meaning “ there goes our diet “. Delicious breakfast.
Our room on the 1st night was perfect, got an upgrade for a luxury superior king , thanks to the front desk staff( her name is Leah) assisting us during check in . Also offered the discounted breakfast as part of the promotion going on . Just perfect. Thank you Sofitel.
This hotel is a perfect option for travelers awaiting their departure from Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. Situated just a short 15-minute walk from the SM Mall of Asia seaside, it not only offers convenience but also easy access to shopping and entertainment. With amenities like a swimming pool, relaxing hot tub, accommodating and friendly hotel staffs and a delightful Filipino breakfast, this hotel ensures a comfortable and enjoyable stay for those in transit.
There is a guard at entrance of the area which hotel is located. So security is perfect.
The trafic is very heavy in manila, so i choose this room which airport is close.
I was surprised because I need to wait for a line for Grab taxi for 50 minutes at airport and it took 30minutes from airport to the hotel because of traffic jam even though the hotel is only less than 5km from it.
The room is simple, but i could enjoy smoking at terrace.
Brought my family here for a mini staycation. The room was bigger than other hotels in Manila. The pool was huge and we enjoyed our swim there. The staff and crew were very helpful and accommodating. Resorts World is just across the street if you want to visit. Lounge access was nice, we were served a complimentary dinner and it was really good (Japanese). This was probably my first stay in a Hilton Branded hotel and it was decent.
One day before I booked a secure booking when my flight araived at Manila airport I took taxi to Stay cation Gate mane not allowed me in he say proseger to go in not complete 15 days before pay on line security deposit how it possible there is no one helping hand so I can not able to get again I took taxi to near another hotel after 4 hours I took tics to Germany so bad day I became sick how I take my money
The hotel is located in the prestigious Makati district. Shopping centers and supermarkets are within walking distance, there is a party street nearby. The rooms fully correspond to the description and photos, great staff ready to help! I recommend it to everyone for the duration of small connections in Manila, half an hour to the airport without traffic jams! You can pay with a Union pay card!
It is near the airport and mostly sorrounded by commercial areas and accessible to some of the big malls. Staff like ate Vangie and Evelyn are accomodating and friendly, they will immediate give your demand, Every time I come to Manila to do sime personal stuff or visit my relaticws and friends, I always stay in this hotel since 2016. I recommended this hotel to my friends.
Friendly staff, very good buffet 😋 (the best!), quick to respond to questions, very reliable shuttle service although not free, close to Ninoy International airport, good value and really good customer service overall! Learned of the hotel through my family in the US and they were right about the buffet 👍
We are upset with our stay in Manila Hotel, they don't have a good customer service, hotel don't have telephone it's really hard to contact the reception for our needs, facilities is not good re: no remote for Airton, TV not working, cabinet has problem, no dryers & swimming pool is dirty.
The beds and bedding were excellent / superb. Location has a wide group of dinning options in line and just across the street as well as necessity shopping. Hotel and furnishings were new, clean, and top grade. This is a great place for transitioning in/out of the Manila airport.
Manila Hotel is a landmark. All employees are courteous and with a smile every time they see you. Customer service is excellent. The only thing that I saw that needed improvement is the shower room. It needs complete renovations. Other than that our stay was nice and homey.
Budget hotel in Manila. Good for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff, who booked my taxi at 4am to go to the airport. Family friendly and normal people staying there (unlike other hotels in the area).
Clean and pest free. Hot showers. Comfortable beds albeit small.
It was so comfortable, They provided us with good care and convenience during our stay in Manila. It had a great outside view, The staff were respectful. It was overall, A good hotel. I overall, Recommend going there if you are planning to be at Manila.
Our stay at Kingsford Hotel Manila was really good . The location is good close to the airport & shopping malls . The staff iare very friendly & helpful . Our room are always clean big shout out to Rezza & other housekeeping staff in 12th floors .
I like this hotel and always stay here when in Manila. The rooms are small but comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast and service. Great location just steps from Greenbelt in Makati.
