BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh features free bikes, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Edinburgh. One of the coolest hotels we've ever stayed in. The room was lovely and big, the staff were amazing and the breakfast was wonderful (lots of calories though 😄). Surprisingly, the hotel itself (rooms & lounge) was very quiet although the restaurant and bar were always hectic with lots of happy people🍺. Great stay overall!

Hotel in Old Town, Edinburgh
Located in the centre of Edinburgh, just a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile and 650 yards of The Real Mary King's Close, Market Street forms part of Edinburgh’s historic skyline. This hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly and helpful. Champagne at breakfast is an added bonus and a great way to start the day. It was my husband's birthday and a beautiful birthday balloon and card were in our room for him with a card from the hotel and a complimentary glass of bubbles at the bar. Lovely touch would throughly recommend a stay at this hotel when visiting Edinburgh
Hotel in Penicuik
Situated in Penicuik, The Craigie Hotel has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. An absolute joy to stay at the Craigie Hotel. From check in over the facilities of the bedroom, bathroom, its cleanliness, the enjoyable bar, the food in their restaurant, culinary surprises at breakfast... All personnel working for this hotel, along with the boss, seem to be trained to drown all customers into a warm bath of being completely spoiled. What surprised us even more was that post check-out, when we were on the way home, we were called by the hotel to let us know that our daughter forgot her teddy in the bed. It would have been an absolute disaster only discovering this when we would have been at home. This proves that even post check-out (and after all was paid for), we had the feeling of being taken care of. Just wonderful.

I always enjoy Edinburgh ,it is a beautiful city ,and very good transport . But remember when you get the tram you must have a ticket before you board the tram and validate it ,or they charge you . £10 . The bus is £1 60p for anywhere on Lothian bus . Have exact fair no change given
A lovely city. Small and easy to explore with plenty of interesting places to see. Museum of Scotland is a must, particularly the guided tours where you can learn more than just wandering around on your own. For a good value meal in interesting surroundings try the Caley Picture House on Lothian Road, a converted cinema.
Edinburgh is one of the finest cities on the planet - and it has the most wonderful football team - Heart of Midlothian FC! What town could have more or be better?
The royal mile is a must visit. Have dinner at the Albanach on the royal mile it serves great food and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the castle, pre booking avoids long queues. There are great views of the city to be seen and lots of interesting exhibits. We took a Lothian bus tour, tickets are available to purchase at Waverley bridge and the buses depart from there are well. We took a set 1 hr tour and there were a couple to choose from and it really give us a great tour of the city and showed us some other interesting areas which we probably would not have seen during our short trip, at £15 it was worthwhile. We took A gin connoisseur tour at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery, it was £25 and included a session on the history of gin, a view of the two stills and a fabulous tasting session where we tried 6 different drinks and had a great sized bottle to take away. The tour was informative yet light hearted and was such good fun!
Loved all of it, so much to see, Castle guide tour is a must, very informative And the bus tour is fantastic too. So easy to get around on buses, buy a day pass from LOTHIAN buses, not any other and you can jump on practically any bus to go here and there.
I love Edinburgh. Worked there in the 1970s and visit almost every month. You do not need a reason to go - just meander through the old town and watch the throngs of people bustling about. Edinburgh centre is so walkable and every corner holds a delight in terms of architecture. Buy a day ticket on Lothian Buses and hop all over for a reasonable cost - from Morningside to Ocean Terminal, Stockbridge and Braid Hills. Enjoy.
Really cosmopolitan city that wasn't too big to get around on foot. Wonderful cafes and restaurants, plenty of choice. Lots of history. Lothian buses from the airport to the city very regular and very cheap. Would recommend visiting the Scott monument for great views over city and it is reasonably priced too. Also if you like gin I would recommend a visit to the Edinburgh Gin Distillery, very good value for money.
Beautiful, unspoiled 17th century planned village situated amid East Lothian’s rich and verdant countryside. Stay at the Teeeddale Arms hotel in room 2 Eat at Falco’s in Haddington - 5 minutes drive.
Historical and cultural. And a fun place even if not during marathon. Innes and Gunn beer kitchen on Lothian road below castle is my favorite for drinks and or food.
Lots to see and do no matter what your particular interests are. It's very touristy, of course, but time your visits to the main attractions and you're ok. Buy day tickets on the Lothian buses, or better still a week long pass if you're around that long. The bus service is amazing.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a pleasant view over the town to the Lammermuir Hills, I had breakfast each morning, which more than met my requirements and set me up for the day to explore the East Lothian coast line. Had dinner on two occasions; found the food excellent. The dinner menu offered a wide choice. The staff at all times were attentive. This is a relevantly small hotel which has worked out a system allowing guests to book a mealtime in advance. The system works to everybody's advantage.
Beautiful hotel and staff were so friendly and professional. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was absolutely beautiful with a view over the garden. Room was made up every day. Garden was lovely and snacks and drinks were served daily in the garden if you wished. We were visiting relatives, however, this hotel is ideal for commuting to Edinburgh. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Edinburgh/Midlothian area.
Wonderful gem of a hotel in great location to explore East Lothian. Staff extremely obliging and friendly. Very good value. Big room, comfy bed, good food and great service. So good to stay in a charming character filled hotel rather than a soulless box like so many chain hotels. Highly recommended. A credit to the owner in what have been difficult times for the hospitality business.
The hotel is welcoming, clean and the rooms updated to modern standards. The staff are friendly, and the Inn (for dinner and breakfast) is really outstanding. The price was competitive, and location is convenient to Edinburgh and East Lothian, with plenty of parking. Rooms are quiet despite proximity to main roads.
I recently stayed at Best Western The Hilcroft Hotel West Lothian, and I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness. Both the hotel and my room were spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. It's clear that the staff take great pride in keeping everything in pristine condition. Highly recommended!
Lovely rural pub hotel. Bar / restaurant available. Good food - dinner and breakfast. Decent rooms, comfortable bed. Good location for East Lothian - Museum of Flight, North Berwick Locked storage area in loading yard for bikes. Friendly, helpful staff. Traditional decor and furniture
Clean, good value hotel in Aberlady Excellent hosts and friendly helpful staff Lovely beer garden at the rear of the inn Whilst we didn’t eat in the evening the menu looked good Nice continental breakfast Excellent location for all the golf courses along the East Lothian coast Recommended
Beautiful small hotel - an architectural gem designed by Lutyens with Gertrude Jekyll gardens. Wonderful location in the dunes of the East Lothian coast. Discreet and competent service. Quiet and comfortable single room. Very good food.
Haddington
Great location for buses into Edinburgh and general East Lothian exploring. The apartment had everything we needed.
helpful friendly staff beautiful grounds
The area , the facilities and the lounge bar
Ambience and royal touch and staff friendliness
The staffs are very friendly and gives good advice on where to go and what to see. Perfect location and view on Princes Street, you can see the monument from the room. Room is very clean, the bed is very comfortable and with four pillows in a double room, heater was very warm, and the style is very classic and Scottish, by staying in the room, you are experiencing Scottland already! There was a water boiler and tea bags in the room, and this Upgrades the experience, because you can enjoy Scottish tea and the great view privately
We had a lovely stay at Tigerlily, the room was clean and really spacious, the bathroom honestly felt like a spa ! The staff was very kind and we had an amazing breakfast !
Beautiful property, lovely staff
The whole hotel was decked out for Christmas, which was beautiful! It felt magical! The room was gorgeous and so spacious! Felt like a very special place to be. The staff were so attentive.
The best part of the room was the castle view, of course :) The room was very nice, clean and spacious. I really enjoyed that you can control the thermostat to your taste. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I am grateful for the early check in offered as our flight landed at 8am.
They are not just saying it: they really put their guests first. Small example: the host at the restaurant came up to our hotel room on the busiest Saturday evening just to open our bottle because we were thirsty and wanted to have a last drink we bought somewhere else. The room and the bathroom is modern, comfy, clean: perfect.
Easy check-in, clean room and bathroom, very comfortable bed. Location very convinient, direct in front of hotel is airport bus stop, food store is over the street, walking distance to old Town.
i just love the bar there most especially the bartender Patrick, he was so humble ,kind and professional. I’ve been traveling to 15 countries now but Patrick gave me a very good impression about Edinburgh and its people. Job Well Done, ayyyyyy
